Lone Eagle Lodge

On the positive side, the location was outstanding; right in the heart of Grand Lake near shops, restaurants, and the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater. Very walkable. To be fair, for the price it was a good value. There were a few a few things that could stand improvement. At check in we found the host to be not particularly friendly and helpful. Kind of like 'here's the key combo...see ya'. That was the last we saw of staff for the next 3 days. No housekeeping service. Upon entering the room we found it to be small but appeared very clean and nicely decorated. If you take a look at the picture of my Muk Luk socks after 3 days, they were filthy. The floors were sorely in need of a thorough cleaning. The other photo is the shower. It was clean (the photo adds shadows that make it look otherwise) but tiny. I added a 16oz bottle in the photo to give you an idea of the dimensions. It was around 2.5 feet square. A large person would have a difficult time maneuvering around.

We had a wonderful stay at Lone Eagle Lodge this summer! Incredibly clean, spacious room. Nice warm water, great service at the front desk. Super close to everything you want to get to on the main strip. We were able to book through our Chase portal and use credit card points too, which was awesome. Loved our stay and will definitely be back next summer!

My family stayed for only one night but we enjoyed our stay. Staff was warm and welcoming and responsive to our needs. Also, you can't beat the location since you can walk to everything in town and are so close to the park. The night we stayed was incredibly hot and were disappointed that there was no air conditioning. However, we were happy to find 2 portable fans in the room and they offered to bring us a portable air conditioner which was perfect. The rooms are small but clean and very comfortable. Beds were awesome! Also, highly recommend the food truck in the parking lot.

Room is clean. Convenient location. ( walking distance to the Grand Lake) Selling tasty tacos & burritos on site.

The new owners are very kind and accommodating. I feel they did their best to make the stay great. The rooms are clean and have been updated decor. Located in town, walking distance from restaurants, shops and the lake. There is a lovely patio area we spent time eating our meal. Upgrading mattress would push this location higher in rating.

We usually stay at the gateway inn but saw this and decided to give it a shot. Less amenities, but closer to the main Street. Rooms are quiet, staff is pleasant. Overall best bang for the buck and the taco truck was there till 12pm.... We enjoyed that.

I gave this 5 stars overall because it’s great value and well located. Ample parking. This place knows what it is - a good place to crash after a hard day’s hiking in the park - and focuses on providing that. Walkable to everything in town. Self check in with a key code was easy and convenient… I didn’t see any staff at all but didn’t need to. Room was very clean and nice enough, although the mattress was a little saggy. Shower was great. My room wasn’t serviced during my 2-night stay, which was fine (again - see price).

My daughter and I stayed here one night and had a very good experience. Our room had 2 beds, each in a separate room which was nice for sound sleeping. The room was very clean with carpet that looked new, comfortable beds, furniture to place luggage on in each room, windows that open, and a coffee pot. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is convenient to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.
